1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of Seedwise’s outreach and messaging features. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Because Seedwise sends messages on your behalf across email, SMS, and other channels, compliant use protects both you and the deliverability of the entire platform. Violations may result in throttling, suspension, or termination.
2. Anti-spam commitments (CAN-SPAM)
For every commercial message you send through Seedwise, you must:
- Not use false or misleading header information — the From, To, and routing details must be accurate.
- Not use deceptive subject lines.
- Identify the message as an advertisement where required.
- Include a valid physical postal address for your business.
- Provide a clear, working way to opt out, and honor opt-out requests promptly (within 10 business days).
- Not sell or transfer an address once someone has opted out.
3. GDPR & consent-based outreach
When contacting individuals in the EEA/UK or relying on GDPR, you must have a valid lawful basis (typically consent or legitimate interests, assessed and documented). You must:
- Only contact people where you have a lawful basis and a genuine, relevant reason.
- Clearly identify yourself and the purpose of your message.
- Offer an easy way to object or unsubscribe in every message.
- Respect withdrawal of consent and objection requests immediately.
- Maintain records that demonstrate your lawful basis.
4. No purchased or scraped lists
You must not upload, import, or send to purchased, rented, scraped, or otherwise non-consented contact lists. Recipients must be creators or contacts you have a legitimate reason to approach and the right to contact. Seedwise may sample and audit list sources and reject campaigns that appear to use purchased data.
5. Honor opt-outs
Every recipient must be able to opt out, and once someone opts out (via an unsubscribe link, a “stop” reply, or a direct request) you must not contact them again for the same or a similar purpose. Seedwise automatically records opt-outs and one-click unsubscribes and will suppress further messages to those recipients.
6. SMS-specific rules
SMS outreach requires prior express consent where mandated (for example, under the TCPA in the US) and must honor “STOP” keywords immediately. Do not send SMS outside permitted hours or without the required sender identification.
7. Prohibited content & conduct
- Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading content.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or content that exploits minors.
- Malware, phishing, or attempts to harvest credentials.
- Infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Promotion of regulated goods where you lack the required authorization.
- Circumventing rate limits, filters, suppression lists, or security controls.
8. Deliverability & sending practices
Send relevant, wanted messages; warm up new inboxes gradually; keep bounce and complaint rates low; and promptly remove invalid addresses. Seedwise may pause sending that risks the reputation of shared or customer infrastructure.
9. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warning, throttling, suspension, or termination, and may notify authorities where required. Report abuse or ask questions at support@getseedwise.io.
